Five Word Poem Challenge

Many years ago, my friend Michelle and I used to write our blogs on blogspot.com.  Michelle’s site was called Poefusion and every Friday she did a Friday 5 challenge. It was a challenge to write a poem out of the 5 random words she gave us. Needless to say, it was challenging but fun.

On one Friday, the Friday 5 challenge words were bloodshot, pinion, gypsy, mizzen and thirsty.  This is the poem I wrote from those five words.

Gears of War

Bloodshot eyes rolling through
Pinion soldiers grinding gears of war
Endless movements of gypsy travel
Devastation hangs in heavy mizzen
Beckons forever thirsty for conquer
