Ryan Babarsky

Ryan is a poet, singer/songwriter, mother to one amazing daughter, and works as a business manager in the music industry. She started writing poetry and songs as a teenager and has used those forms as her creative outlet for more than 20 years.

Ryan earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the College of William and Mary, where she wrote voraciously and was published in various literary magazines.

After college she worked as an analyst in various industries while playing in a folk band on the side. She eventually made her way into business management and now helps bands and musicians run their businesses and make financial decisions. In her spare time she enjoys playing the guitar and singing, baking, gardening, reading, and spending quality time with her daughter and beau.

Flowers and Fire is her debut collection of poetry, which was born during a period of personal transformation and transition. The book invites you to share in the author’s quest to find her true self, to find unconditional love and explore its depth, and to continue to recover from half a lifetime of perfectionism and people-pleasing.

Ryan has lived in Virginia her whole life, and she currently resides in Mathews with her loved ones.
