Fine Art &

Photographic Printing

Your work deserves more than a screen.

Bring your photographs, illustrations, and digital reproductions of original artwork into print with Mermaid Cove™ Productions. Based on Gwynn’s Island, Virginia, we work with artists, photographers, and anyone who wants to turn a meaningful image into a print they can hold, display, or share.

From capturing your original artwork as a digital file to producing photographic paper prints and varnished, stretched canvas, we can help you bring your work into print in the size you need.

Original artwork? We can create the digital file.

You don’t need to have a digital file to get started. We can digitally capture your original artwork, creating a file that can be used to produce fine art prints on paper or canvas.

If you have an original piece you’d like reproduced, contact us to discuss the artwork, its dimensions, and your printing plans. We’ll help you take the next step from original artwork to finished print.

Paper prints that complement your image

The paper you choose becomes part of the finished work. Its surface and texture influence how an image’s colors, contrast, and fine details appear.

We print almost exclusively on Red River papers, using our Epson SureColor P9570 and Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 printers with Epson and Canon archival pigment inks. This combination gives us the flexibility to produce photographic prints, illustrations, and fine art reproductions with rich color, subtle tonal transitions, and crisp detail.

Not sure which paper to choose? Tell us about your image and how you plan to display it, and we can help you select a suitable option.

Canvas prints, finished for display

For images you’d like to display on canvas, we offer printing with a protective varnish and stretching over stretcher bars.

After printing, we spray the canvas with a protective varnish before stretching it. The finished piece offers a textured alternative to a paper print, with no glass between the viewer and the image.

When requesting a quote, let us know your desired finished size and whether you’d like a paper print or stretched canvas.
