M. P. Slaughter
Melany “M.P.” Slaughter is a journalist, photographer, and poet residing in eastern Virginia with her fiancé and dog. She began writing poetry at a young age as a way to navigate the world around her. She was previously published in The Stylus, Randolph-Macon College’s literary magazine. In her free time, Slaughter enjoys reading, crocheting, and learning new things.
In her debut poetry collection, Until the Cardinals Carry Me Home, Ms. Slaughter lays bare the grief she suffered the first year after the tragic loss of her best friend.
